Blessings and Testimonies!

Okay as some of you know, this January we were considering very heavily taking a job in Ogden to make more money and was something Cole would have loved doing. Then he was approached by Walmart and they offered him an assistant management position when one opened. Which was not only a big compliment to him and his work ability but also it meant we wouldn't have to leave E town! We prayed about it and decided to stay here in Ephraim because that was something totally unexpected!
Time went on and we knew there would be an opening come May and we kept getting updates and encouragement from Walmart, so we thought it was a forsure deal. Then this passed month we found out that when this assistant manager left the Ephraim store they wouldn't be filling the position because they were over staffed here. It was a huge dissapointment! Cole started to get a bit discouraged but for some reason I was ok with the news. I knew that the Lord had a plan for us and what ever it may be it would be best for us. After all we were doing all we could right? We read our scriptures daily, We pay tithing, and For the first time last month I did a full fast. Normally I get really sick and have to keep fluids in me the whole time but I decided to go full out for the blessings.
My main focus in prayer has been our finances. As was the case in my fasting.
So even though we had this set back I was confident in the outcome even though we had no clue what was in store for us anymore.
Later I had realised. I took out on paper my tithing but never actually paid so the money was spent. I began to freak out! "Cole this is why were not doing so hot with our money (it seems like we have more money or it goes farther when we do pay it). and this is why Walmart is over staffed'! He kind of just laughed at me and said ya ok honey. I told him to go pay the tithing even if it means we go in the hole! Well he did. And come sunday I fasted again, because I had missed April's fast sunday.
Then While in Colorado I get this random phone call from Cole saying they were opening the assistant management position and that he had put in for it. I got a little excited but not daring to get my hopes up i grabbed Jennee and the kids and we sat down and said a family prayer. The VERY NEXT DAY Cole called and had the Job!! YEA!! So here is my testimony to all! Paying your tithing works! Along with fasting a prayer. And its so fun and exciting to know that for my self now! You always hear others saying it but until you actually apply it in your own life you dont quite get the full on understanding of the Gospel its truth and all the many blessings that come with it!

That is so great!!! Congrats to Cole! I am so glad you will be sticking around here! I have totally felt the blessings of tithing too these last few months. I think everyone's finances are tight right now and like they said in conference, "The best investment you can make is to pay your tithing."
