"Our" First Day Of School

Today was Carter's first day of school! And by that I mean my first day too. I was a proud Mama! A little nervous about him riding the bus all the way to Manti, but I survived, as did he.
He was so excited to go! Especially for the bus ride. And when he came home I was so excited to hear about how his day went. I guess the little tike was so worn out he fell asleep on the bus. So when he came off it he was a little confused at where he was. It was pretty funny. Sad too because I didn't get all that excitedment, but when the bus drove off he started yelling. He was mad it was leaving with out him. So I took it as a really good sign!

And afterwards a snack!

Happy Birthday Carter!! ... and a cake gone ugly

Carters Birthday is always so much fun because he is our New Years Baby!! And for me every New Years is so much more significant to me.

Someone once told me that they had a birthday on New Years and his parents had him believing for a whole ten years that the Whole World celebrated his birthday! So thats the goal, Ha ha!

Every birthday I make a "special" cake for the kids and for some reason this one took a turn for the ugly! But its Thomas the Train and he LOVED it! So I guess thats all that really matters. Hey it tasted yummy!

Boy, I wish I had that Winning Smile!

TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE!!
This girl gets into more trouble than I have ever heard of! And yet she thinks that its okay because of that winning smile of hers. And the sad thing is, is its partially true!

Having kids is great!

Hey so I was substituting over at the Middle School this week and thought I would pop in on an old teacher of mine, to give him crap and make him feel old because I am now subbing. But we had a fun little chat.
He mentioned how he would see me and the kids and the games and I had some cute kids. Which of course I completely agreed and said, Ya they are, I like them. And he said, "Aren't having kids so great"! I totally agreed. And added that most all of my friends still tell me I got married too young and had kids too soon. But that is not true at all! I wouldn't change it for a second! I love that I got married when I did and I think having my kids when we did was the greatest thing ever (for me)!! They bring so much joy to my life!! This teacher continued saying "You know, Being a kid is great! But having your own kids is so much better!!" !!!! So here it is to say and to Spread to every one!! Because for me it is the honest truth!

"Being a Kid is Great! But Having Kids is So Much BETTER!!"

Marshmellow Wars

No this is not food all over its Blood!! And this is after I had helped her and cleaned most of it up!!
Grandpa and Grandma Moore gave Carter a Marshmellow Blow-gun(which might I add is the coolest weapon ever) for his birthday this year. While Carter was pelting everyone and every thing insight, Chasee would run around and eat the marshmellows after they had been launched! They were having so much fun and were as wild as can be when the marshmellows had run out! Chasee yelled, "More!" and ran towards me with the bowl to refill it, as she was running she tripped over a pillow that had been used as a shield earlier and fell right onto the bowl!
She cut that thing that holds your lips to your gums and her teeth cut into her lips also. BLOOD EVERY WHERE! And sure she is now screaming but its not so much over the pain and bleeding as it is "MORE MARSHMELLOWS!!"

A Romantic Flash-lit Dinner

For dinner tonight Cole made BBQ ribs, a perfect meal anyone would pay money for ;) About halfway through dinner Carter got down to use the bathroom and then came out with something in his hands and started turning all the lights off in the house! We had no idea why but he did. Last he turned off the kitchen light and said, "Oh no! Its Dark!" And I said, "Oh no!" Carter then turned on the flash light in his hand and said,"Here you go mommy, Here you go daddy," And we just busted up laughing. Then one of us mentioned all we need now is some singing. And then we heard..."Twinkle Twinkle little star..." and Carter is pointing and swirling the flashlight across the ceilling. It was Perfect!! So we finished our dinners singing songs in the dark and following that we had our Family Home evening (in the dark)! Definately a night to remember!!

Preschools Pre-screening Test

Okay as most know the pre-screening test is the test you take your kids to to see if they get to go to preschool for free. I have been so excited to get Carter in just knowing he was a shoe in... In fact anyone who got caught working with Carter the last month or so, got in trouble. Like with the whole, "how old are you?" and stuff like that, it needed to wait till after his test! I know, I know, I am a horrible parent, not teaching my kid, just to get him into preschool for free. Oh well,
Anyway first thing they did when we walked in the door was ask him, "Whats your name" and he says, "Carter". My mouth immediately dropped. The first and only time he answers that question right! So here this test is like an hour and a half long and the whole time I am cussing in the back of my head thinking, "How the Crap does he know all this!" I mean never for a second did I think my kid was dumb but come on he just barely turned three! Well The boy completely and totally shocked me. He is sooo much smarter than he lets on, and, I am afraid I will be paying for preschool. Therefore he will have to wait one more year. Haha!

Denton Love

Here we are. Now this is my first time blogging, so bear with me becuase it is sketchy...
Things are going good for us here in little E-town. Carter is now 3, and Chasee 1 1/2. Both such busy bodies, especially together.
Cole has been busy as always doing the whole work and school thing, and he is actually looking into other options for work in Ogden. Which could be a fun, new experience. We will have to see what happens.
I get to stay at home with the kids which is lots of fun on top of all the chaos. The kids keep me running. And the house somehow magically is never clean even though I am always cleaning. But all mom's can relate, I am sure. And when I do get a spare moment for myself, which happens once in a random while, I get busy with a craft for the house or some one elses, and of course I love making jewelry.

So for now, that is us.
